Online Purchase Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with The Botaness, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before purchasing.
1. About Our Artwork
All Botaness pieces are handcrafted biophilic artworks made using preserved natural moss and botanicals. Each piece is created with intention and care, and natural variations in colour, texture, and form are part of the beauty of working with organic materials.
2. Orders & Payments
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Full payment is required before production begins.
All custom and made-to-order items are final sale and non-refundable once production has started. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order prior to production due to availability, location, timing, or pricing errors.
3. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping costs may be estimated at checkout. Final shipping charges may be calculated once your artwork is completed and packaged. Any remaining shipping balance must be paid before your order is shipped. Artwork is professionally packaged to protect it during transit.
4. International Orders, Customs & Import Fees
Buyers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, tariffs, or import charges required by their country. The Botaness is not responsible for delays, fees, or refusals caused by customs authorities. Orders cannot be cancelled or returned due to customs charges or import issues.
5. Taxes
Local taxes, VAT, or import taxes may apply depending on your location. The buyer is responsible for all applicable taxes outside of Canada.
6. Delivery Inspection & Damage Claims
Please inspect your artwork immediately upon delivery. Any damage or issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photos. Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for resolution.
7. Installation & Handling
The buyer is responsible for proper handling and installation. The Botaness is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, mishandling, or mounting methods.
8. Care & Environmental Requirements
Our moss art requires no watering or ongoing maintenance. Please follow these care guidelines: Do not water, mist, or spray the artwork. Maintain indoor humidity between 30%–60%. Keep artwork out of direct sunlight (indirect light is fine). Avoid placing near vents, fireplaces, heaters, or open windows. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in drying, crumbling, or damage and is not covered under warranty.
9. Natural Materials Disclaimer
Because our artwork is made from preserved natural materials: Colour variation, texture differences, and organic irregularities are normal. These characteristics are not considered defects
10. Workmanship Warranty
We offer a 2-year workmanship warranty from the date of delivery. One complimentary touch-up kit may be provided upon request. Warranty does not cover damage caused by environmental conditions, improper care, or natural aging.
11. Returns, Refunds & Chargebacks
Custom and made-to-order items are final sale. Buyers agree to contact The Botaness directly to resolve any issues before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes.
12. Media & Marketing Use
By purchasing, you grant The Botaness permission to photograph and share images or videos of the artwork for marketing, portfolio, and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Botaness is not liable for:
Installation errors
Environmental damage
Customs delays or fees
Indirect or consequential damages related to the use or placement of the artwork
14. Governing Terms
These Terms & Conditions represent the full agreement between you and The Botaness and apply to all online purchases worldwide.
